IronMemo Audio Recorder

A Chrome extension that records microphone and browser tab audio locally, keeps recording when the tab is closed, and decodes the file after a Chrome crash.

All recording stays on your device. No server, no cloud, no analytics, no AI on your recordings without your separate permission.

What it does

Records the microphone.
Records the audio of a browser tab you pick, without a meeting bot.
Keeps recording when the tab is closed.
Decodes the file end-to-end after Chrome crashes or the machine loses power.
Lets you download each recording as a plain audio file.

What it does not do

It does not send anything to any server. No cloud upload. No backend.
It does not use your recordings to train any AI model.
It does not read page text, passwords, or browsing history.
It does not run any analytics.

Recording consent

Laws that govern the recording of conversations differ between jurisdictions. Before you record a meeting or a call, tell every participant, and get their agreement if the law you are subject to requires it. This is the user's own responsibility; the extension does not check it.

Status

Early development. The extension is not yet listed on the Chrome Web Store. Feedback is welcome via the issue tracker.
